Summer Camp Spotlight: Take Two Film Academy

Summer Camp Spotlight: Take Two Film Academy

Lights, Camera, Action! Learn how to make and/or act in a film at Take Two Film Academy in the Hamptons this summer. Take Two works with schools to teach video and media literacy in three tiers: Storytelling, Film Production and Impact.

Films connect us to the stories that change the world—giving kids this voice increases engagement, promotes reading and writing literacy and empowers students to take what they’re learning in the classroom and create content that promotes impact.

Students work together in teams to write, act, shoot and edit their own short films. Every student is invited to participate in all aspects or just the areas that interest them. At the end of the term, each team will have made at least one film, put it on a DVD and posted it online. Some will even submit their film to the New York International Children’s Film Festival!

The skills students learn benefit them in all facets of their lives—from school applications and class projects, to learning viral marketing and beyond!

Take Two Film Academy is a film school all about the kids! Kids and teens enrolled in Take Two Film Academy’s workshops and camps will bring their creative ideas to life with the help of seasoned professionals. They will learn screenwriting, directing, acting, green screen and editing from top-notch instructors in an exciting, collaborative environment.
