Summer Camp Spotlight: Marine Explorers Summer Camp

Marine Explorers Summer Camp, located in Southampton, provides a fun, active, educational, clean and safe place for children ages 8–18 to thrive. This camp is for all children who LOVE to explore the beach, bay, marsh and the animals that live here on Long Island. The camp counteracts Nature Deficit Disorder and get kids involved in the environment while teaching respect, compassion, cooperation and creative thinking.

Hosted every summer at the Southampton Marine Station, participants get to utilize the state-of-the-art science center and Stony Brook University’s new multimillion-dollar facility. Students will benefit from access to digital microscopes, a marine lab with touch tanks, two marine research vessels, a salt marsh, Shinnecock Bay and lots of local talent!

Any students enrolled at Marine Explorers Summer Camp will be light-years ahead of other kids in the sciences as the camp offers independent research topics, hands-on learning, live animal presentations, and explorations of nature—like children were meant to do. Head counselors are environmental and marine biologists from various disciplines.
