Greenport Harbor Brewing Hosts 7th Anniversary Party
This Saturday, July 16, marks the seventh anniversary of the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company and they’re inviting the public to join the festivities!
In 2009, the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company opened in the defunct firehouse on Carpenter Street in Greenport Village. Since then, the local brewery has grown immensely, blossoming into one of the largest and most noteworthy breweries on Long Island.
The anniversary runs in conjunction with GHB’s recently launched OG Series, a line of unique, limited-batch beers that are brewed and available exclusively at their original Greenport location—a way of returning back to their roots at the old firehouse. Keep an eye out for several of these OG beers being poured at this weekend’s event, including the Rye Guy Extra Pale Ale, Fork and Beans coffee stout, their Dry-Hopped Berliner Weiss and the brand new India Pale Lager, “Amaizing.”
In the tradition of each year’s anniversary celebration, the brewery will also be pouring several of their “museum” beers—brews from years past, stowed away for just the right occasion.
The party begins at 3 p.m. with music, food trucks and outdoor fun. Food will be provided by Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Taco Loco food truck and the brewery’s own food truck, the North Fork Test Kitchen.
Noiz, the Motown cover band that has caught the attention of celebrities such as Al Roker, actor Kevin Kline and news anchor Jackie Reid will perform at 3 p.m. Sag Harbor alternative rock band The Glazzies, who have collaborated with Murph of Dinosaur Jr., and whose music has been heard in the Hulu comedy series Difficult People, is performing at 8 p.m.
Prints of Scott Bluedorn’s artwork, the artist behind the brewery’s signature and surreal six-pack designs and bottle labels, will also be for sale.
The festivities will go until 8 p.m. You must be 21 years old to attend.
