Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Publishes Fast Food Guide
East Ender Gwyneth Paltrow is all about health. She even recently started a brand of vitamins! But not everybody can live healthy all the time, right?
Proving there’s no topic she won’t tackle, Paltrow’s goop blog has posted The goop Fast Food Guide, “a compilation of our go-to orders, goop menu hacks, and when you just go straight for the French fries.” While the site won’t wholeheartedly recommend anyone rely on fast food—obviously—it does acknowledge that sometimes, it’s just more convenient to grab something quick on the go. Prepare to be surprised at some of the choices on this “menu,” folks.
Goop’s “Best Bet” options include Starbucks’ egg white and roasted red pepper Sous Vide Egg Bites, as well as their Hearty Veggie & Brown Rice Salad Bowl; Chipotle’s salad bowl without dairy; the Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad from Wendy’s without the hummus and sauce; Panda Express’ Plain brown rice, steamed veggies and grilled mandarin chicken; and a Subway salad.
In the “Tricky But Doable” category, goop recommends McDonald’s lettuce-wrapped grilled chicken burger; Domino’s veggie pizza and gluten free crust; and Taco Bell’s Taco Bell’s black bean burrito or power veggie bowl—without the cheese and sour cream.
Finally, goop offers recommendations for what it considers the least “clean food” fast food options: KFC’s mashed potatoes without gravy; Arby’s farmhouse salad, and Dunkin’ Donuts’ oatmeal with an egg white patty omelet.
We wouldn’t put too much stock in any of these options, honestly. But in the spirit of fun, here are our recommendations, based purely on taste: McDonald’s 10-piece chicken nuggets, Burger King’s French toast sticks, Dunkin’ Donuts’ chocolate frosted donut, and Wendy’s Frosty. Take that, healthy eating habits! But in all seriousness, we’re in the Hamptons. There are plenty of much, much better options out there.
