Gwyneth Paltrow to Appear in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
Hamptonite and Goop Guru Gwyneth Paltrow will appear in Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. According to the movie’s cast list, Paltrow is set to reprise her role as Pepper Potts, Tony Stark/Iron Man’s (East Hampton’s Robert Downey Jr.) on-again/off-again love interest who runs Stark Industries while he’s off saving the world. As Iron Man appears in the film as Peter Parker/Spider-Man’s (Tom Holland) mentor, we assume we’ll see Pepper in a supporting capacity, similar to her small role in The Avengers.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is the third incarnation of Spider-Man for the big screen, following three films starring Tobey Maguire and two films starring Andrew Garfield. Holland, the youngest version of the web-slinger, is the first to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with other heroes, like Iron Man and Captain America. He made his debut alongside Downey Jr. and fellow Hamptonite Scarlett Johansson in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens on July 7. Watch the trailer below.
