Dan’s Taste of Summer Gathers Montauk’s Hottest Chefs

On Thursday, June 22, a group of the hottest chefs in Montauk left their kitchens for some pre-Dan’s Taste of Summer beach time, to celebrate their work, each other and the culinary destination that Montauk has become. Nowhere is that celebration bigger than at the two Dan’s Taste of Summer events coming to Montauk this summer: Dan’s Corona MonTaco presented by Don Julio on Friday, July 7 and Dan’s ClambakeMTK presented by COMPASS on Saturday, July 8.

The first annual MonTaco, hosted by Adam Richman—Travel Channel host, author, food & travel explorer—will feature celebrated chefs’ culinary twists on classic Mexican cuisine, paired with cerveza, Spanish cavas, tequila and more. The return of the blockbuster ClambakeMTK, hosted by Geoffrey and Margaret Zakarian, is the ultimate seaside soiree featuring surf, turf and beyond from top Montauk and Manhattan chefs. And it’s all happening at Gurney’s Montauk!

Among this largest-ever gathering Montauk chefs, joining together for Dan’s Taste of Summer, were Oscar Hernandez of Tacombi, Frankie Fuschetto of South Edison, Kristina Marrero of Gurney’s Montauk, Erik MacMurray of Hoodoos MTK, Rick Denis of The Beach Club at Gurney’s Montauk, Richard Hebson of Montauk Yacht Club, Larry Kolar of West Lake Fish House, Lynn Calvo of Lynn’s Hula Hut, Arthur B. Wolf of Smokin’ Wolf, David Piacente of Gosman’s, Timothy Lu of MMEInk, and Becky Moody and Tanya Simmonds-Rosa of Bex Waffles.
