Summer Reading Kickoff: Build a Better Cupcake
When: June 23, 3 p.m.
Where: Montauk Library, 871 Montauk Highway, Montauk
What: Kick off the summer with some fun cupcake decorating! Create two different cupcakes using frosting, sprinkles and candy. For the second cupcake, kids will “build a better cupcake” using different supplies. Winners receive a prize and an extra raffle ticket for the summer reading club. This is a two-session event appropriate for ages 4 and up.

SWAP
Summer Book Swap
When: June 24, 10 a.m.
Where: Children’s Museum of the East End, 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton
What: Bring a book to swap and take a new book home to read. Kids will also get to make custom bookmarks, enjoy lemonade, tell stories and more. This event is appropriate for all ages.

PAINT
Pollock Family Drip Painting
When: June 24, 10 a.m.
Where: Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center, 830 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton
What: Author and artist Joyce Raimondo will lead this fun workshop. Families will explore the home and studio of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, then learn to drip paint and create their own art. Supplies included. This event is appropriate for ages 4 and up.

Farmer’s Helper
When: June 25, 10 p.m.
Where: The Green School, Sagaponack
What: Come explore the Green School’s eco-friendly farm, located on five acres. Learn how to care for animals big and small, including horses, pigs, chickens, sheep and more. This event is appropriate for ages 3–10.

PLAY
Neighborhood Nights
When: June 26, 5 p.m.
Where: The Drop Spot, 655 Flanders Road, Flanders
What: This free program offers music, arts and crafts, basketball, parties, water activities and more. Weather permitting, kids will also be transported to the Southampton Youth Services Recreation Center to use the outdoor swimming pool and game room. This event is appropriate for kids in grades K–4.
