On the Small Screen: Ina Garten, Andy Cohen, Kyle MacLachlan & More
Some of your favorite Hamptonites are regularly appearing on the small screen. Here are just a few East End celebs you might find on TV this summer.
Everyone’s favorite barefoot contessa, Ina Garten, debuted a new cooking show last Sunday. In Cook Like a Pro, Garten receives culinary tips from other industry experts, including Mario Batali, Yotam Ottolenghi and others. She also cooks and films in her East Hampton kitchen. Cook Like a Pro airs Sundays at 11 a.m. on the Food Network.
Shelter Island resident and Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen has been making the media rounds to promote his new show, Love Connection. In the dating series, contestants go on three blind dates, let the audience choose a second date for them, and head back to New York to discuss the experience with Cohen. As he told Us Weekly, “Today, it’s all online and swiping…The thing about the show is, people are actually forced to spend hours and hours trying to get to know each other.” Love Connection airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on FOX.
Hamptons fan Kyle MacLachlan is currently starring in Twin Peaks: The Return on Showtime. The series, which picks up 25 years after the series finale of the original kooky David Lynch show, follows MacLachlan’s character, Agent Cooper, as he escapes from the surreal nightmare world he’s been trapped in since the original series ended. Naomi Watts has also appeared on the show. Twin Peaks: The Return airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
