?Discovering Clean Country Living

?Living out in the country has its benefits in comparison to living in the city. There are the obvious things when it comes to your health. There is the fact that there is less pollution in the country and of course, the healing powers of the ocean are ever present. Many people that live full time out in the country don’t have to experience the noise of car alarms going off while they are trying to get to sleep.
When it comes to your health, as in not dying and not getting sick, the city is not a very friendly place. For one thing, the stress that many people feel in the city just from physically being there contributes greatly to poor health. Stress is a very powerful force, and because city life can often be aggravating, many city people can feel run down a lot of the time, and be more prone to heart disease and other stress related illnesses.
The country can be a little bit slower moving and it is important for a stressed out city person to relax in the country. Sometimes, this seems impossible, just based on a personality type. But very, very few people feel stress while they are lying down on the beach and soaking up the ocean air and sun’s rays. This type of relaxation can feel foreign to a city person because they are so used to feeling pressure weighing down on them. However, it is important to remember that slowing down may be vital to your overall health and well-being, and it’s worth a try. If you do not take the time to relax, you are putting yourself at risk.
The city does have its benefits when it comes to your health. Many people that live in the city are able to get a lot of exercise by walking from place to place, and using the stairs in apartments.
However, much of that walking time is spent heading out to late night places at all hours of the night. Being on the go all night long, then walking into a stressful job is not good for your body, and it lets you know that it is not good for you by making you feel sick.
Pollution in the city is also unhealthy. There are many stories about a country person moving into the city and getting terrible cough and flu like symptoms based completely on the added pollution that goes into their lungs. Just breathing in the country air is healthy.
The country is also very good for your emotional health, a connection that is really being investigated in the medical field. Keeping your mind and soul healthy, studies have shown, is just as important as keeping your body healthy. This is because there are clear connections between your mental well being and your physical health. When life moves at a simpler pace, as it does in the country, you have fewer obvious things to worry about which contributes to your emotional health. Country living allows you to be outdoors with nature and lets you become more in tune with the environment that contributes to your mental health as well.
Although the Hamptons is very much a circus for some people, for most of us, especially those that are not from here, it is a place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. This is the reason that it is what is it is. It’s important for your health too! People have been benefiting from these surroundings for hundreds of years. It’s just that the science simply wasn’t there to prove it.
So the next time that you are out on your porch enjoying a summer barbecue with fresh vegetables and fruit bought from local growers and the sound of good friends getting together for some fresh air and fresh food, remind yourself that you are doing good things for your body and soul as well as having fun.
