CABLEVISION’S KIDS DAY/DIA DE LOS NINOS – 9/2 – 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The 13th annual Cablevision Kids Day features activities for children and their parents at the World of the Horse™ Exhibition Tent and Show Yard located behind the main grandstands. Children can gather around Alcazar the Magician to witness his sleight of hand. The Great Rubini will create balloon animals and paint children’s faces. Kids can also learn a few tricks themselves as the National Circus Project teaches juggling, plate spinning and stilt walking. Several Hispanic acts will perform on stage as part of the Classic’s ongoing salute to the growing Latin American population of Long Island. There are free pony rides for children throughout the day. The featured show jumping event of the day is the $25,000 Sotheby’s International Realty Challenge, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Grand Prix Ring. Cost is $10 per person or $20 per carload.
