The “Drive Gorgeous” Rally and Dinner was hosted by Jaguar and Hogan last week on Further Lane in East Hampton at the former Bouvier summer estate. The event included a unique driving experience in the new Jaguar XK for a select group of drivers, including Lydia Hearst and Luigi Tadini, Thom Filicia, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Nacho Figueras, Andrew Saffir and Daniel Benedict, Patrick McMullan, Fabian and Martina Basabe, Food Network chef Dave Lieberman, Plum TV host Jenny Mayer, and more. These lucky drivers departed Further Lane for the Rolling Stones former haunt, the Memory Motel in Montauk. Here, they participated in a competition with a surprise reward for winners Jenny Mayer and Dave Lieberman – Rolling Stones tickets! Then they headed to the Church estate, the former home of Andy Warhol, where they shared folklore from the days when Warhol hosted his legendary parties at the country house, and finally, returned to Further Lane for a dinner on the grounds of the Bouvier estate. They were joined by friends, including Tommy Mottola and wife Thalia, Kelly Klein, Allison Sarofim, and Stella Schnabel.

East Hampton’s Sean Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy, then Puffy, then P Diddy, and finally just Diddy, — is Diddy no more, at least in Britain. The musician and entertainment mogul has agreed to drop the Diddy name as part of an out-of court legal settlement with London-based music producer Richard “Diddy” Dearlove, best known for his 1990s dance remix of Blondie’s “Atomic.”

Powerhouse attorney Barry Slotnick hosted his annual fundraiser at his Amagansett home this past weekend for Pediatric Cancer Research. Revelers included Fox 5’s John Rowland and Joanna Tult of the American Civic Association in Amagansett. They were relieved the house was equipped with plenty of candles when the blackout hit (courtesy of Tropical Storm Ernesto). The lights were only out for a moment but the candles remained lit. A good thing since the lights went out again, half hour before the party was over.

The final leg of Eliot Spitzer’s last tour before the primary began with a flight from Buffalo to the Hamptons. There, the city-bred candidate for Attorney General got a crash-course in fishery at a Shinnecock Village, where he and running mate David Paterson, candidate for lieutenant governor, toured a vessel. After a quick pep rally in Suffolk County, the group headed to Paterson’s grade school, Spitzer will continue to campaign straight through Primary Day, pausing only on Monday for the 9/11 ceremony and to commemorate a state trooper who was killed upstate.
