Fairytale Tablesettings
Custom wedding gifts are the best kind to give or receive,
because they are the ones we remember. Instead of buying the same old
champagne glasses or crystal cake plate for the bride and groom, take
the time to find a unique gift that will be cherished forever. Dee and
Brion Moorhead, local Hamptons artists, have designed and created Bijoux
De La Mer, an original luxe collection of pewter table art designs that
will be truly treasured by any newlyweds. Far from the typical table
setting, these heirloom quality flatware and table accessories are beautiful,
one-of-a-kind pieces of art. They were created in the Art Nouveau style,
inspired by Dee and Brion’s love of nature and the ocean. The
collection is two years in the making, and will add an elegant touch
to any table.
Dee and Brion’s Victorian mini-farm-turned creative haven, overlooks
a horse pasture, waterfall and koi pond, creating a serene setting that
has inspired these talented artists. Dee owns the boutique DJ Hart in
Sag Harbor, and has been dressing celebrities and Hamptonites with her
designs for many years. Brion is a detail carpenter and illustrator,
specializing in Victorian homes. His work has been seen in Country Living
and Architecture Details and has been shown on HGTV. The Orchid design
was featured in Preston Bailey’s book, Fantasy Weddings.
The collection is made to the highest standards. The handles and accessories
are made of lead-free pewter glow with an antique patina. The flatware
tips are made of the finest 18/10 Italian stainless steel, and they
are dishwasher safe, on gentle cycle. Bijoux De La Mer will debut in
spring 2007.
