The Surfside Inn, in Montauk, has announced their new fall hours and menu. They are open for dinner Friday through Wednesday starting at 5 p.m. and closed on Thursday. They are also open for lunch starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Some of their new dinner menu items are flounder almondine served with rice pilaf and grilled seasonal vegetables; swordfish topped with lemon franchaise and artichoke hearts, served with mashed potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables; and 1/2 a roasted duck with wild berry glaze served with rice and seasonal sautéed vegetables. In East Hampton, Della Femina is offering a pinot noir wine dinner on Friday, October 27th, from 6 p.m. until close. The special five-course menu, created by executive chef Mike Rozzi, is $75 per person plus tax and tip. Some of the menu items are hot smoked salmon with local celery root slaw in caviar dressing served with a 2005 Rose of Pinot Noir from Lucia Vineyards in California; roasted suckling pig with baby carrot and leek ragu served with a 2002 Pinot Noir from Fiddlehead Cellars in Oregon. Almondito has announced Miercoles Mania every Wednesday where they will be offering $5 margaritas and $5 bocaditas (tiny bites) – small plate versions of their favorites such as empanadas, ceviches, tacos and guacamole. This bocadito menu at the bar will also be available for $7 per item Thursday through Monday. Nick & Toni’s has announced new fall menu items. Appetizers include Napeague Harbor Littleneck clams with Satur Farm cranberry beans with villa sweet sausage and heirloom tomato broth. Entrees inlclude spaghetti with garlic, pancetta, red pepper, lemon and farm fresh egg; local swordfish with wood-roasted heirloom eggplant and Sicilian pesto. For desserts, there is a Halsey Farm apple, fig, and walnut tart with caramel vanilla gelato and a chocolate caramel parfait with raspberries and chocolate cookies. They are also having an “Eat and Run” film festival prix fixe on the nights of Thursday, October 19th, and Sunday, October 22nd. The two-course prix fixe is $25 per person plus tax and tip. For a taste of fall go to The Southampton Publick House, which is hosting their annual fall beer dinner on Thursday, October 26th at 7 p.m. A four-course dinner will be served and paired with Southampton ales and lagers. The cost of the dinner is $60 per person with limited seating. Some of the menu items are pumpkin and butternut squash soup, served in a honey brown sugar bowl with toasted almonds, and paired with Southampton Pumpkin Ale; smoked duck breast with apples and brie served over mesclun greens with a cranberry vinaigrette and paired with Southampton Saison. 75 Main Restaurant and Wine Bar is offering a three-course prix fixe bistro menu for $22.95 per person. This is offered all night Sunday thru Thursday and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. They are not open for dinner on Wednesday nights, but are open for lunch. After strolling around Greenport, stop into The Greenport Tea Company for lunch or high tea. They are open Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. They offer an extensive lunch menu as well as high tea for two, in which you can choose from freshly baked-scones with jam and cream, assorted tea sandwiches and assorted mini pastries. In Riverhead, check out Buoy One Market & Restaurant. They offer a clambake that you can eat-in or take out for $23.95 per person.
