RILKE ON RILKE- At 6:30 p.m. at the Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport check out the play “Rilke on Rilke: A Celebration in Poem and Song.” The play is written and directed by Shelter Island resident Mel Mendelssohn. The musical direction is by Dee Laveglia. Free tickets. Call 631-477-0660.

SATURDAY, MARCH 24

WINEMAKERS WALK- 1 p.m. A guided tour of the winery and production facility and wine tasting at Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery. $15 per person. 1-4pm Inside the Artist’s Studio @ Borghese YiYi Ku – Classical Piano. Come see artists demonstrate their craft & talent in various mediums. Learn what their inspirations are and the meanings behind their works of art. Ask them questions and view their most recent collections. Pieces will be available for purchase. Artists will include some of these professionals; Howard Jewett – Basket Weaving, Mike Killelea - Watercolorist North Fork Scenes, Harry Wicks - Wood Turned Bowls and Steve Amaral – Contemporary Symbolism in Acrylic. BUNNY BREAKFAST- From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. a bunny breakfast is taking place at the Mattituck High School gym, sponsored by the Mattituck High School student council and the Mattituck-Cutchogue PTSA. Tickets sold in advance at Love Lane Sweet Shoppe. Enjoy craft projects and games and of course, meet the east bunny. Call 631-298-2276.

POTATO FESTIVAL- The merchants of Love Lane in Mattituck hope to once again celebrate its harvest. From 11 am until 3 pm, the Love Lane Group of the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the first annual potato festival on Love Lane. All along the street, restaurants, galleries, and shops will offer special promotions and products to show appreciation for this staple crop. 631-298-8989.

PLAY WORKSHOP- Around the Globe in Eight Plays workshop is taking place at noon until 4 p.m. today. Presented by Northeast Stage, actors of all ages and levels are welcome. The program will include Shakespeare scenes from various plays. Located at the Floyd Memorial Library. Call 631-477-0660.

ATLANTIS TALK- Check out a talk entitled “Atlantis and Other Mysteries: Myth and Archaeology of the Greek Bronze Age” at 4 p.m. at the Old Point School House in Orient. The talk is by Fredrica Washsberger and is sponsored by the Oysterponds Historical Society. Ms. Washsberger is a former president of the society and is a retired professor of art history specializing in Greek and Roman art. She is also an archeologist who has excavated in Greece, Turkey and Italy. No cost. Call 631-323-2480.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG- From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. check out a Spring Has Sprung Brunch sponsored by the Peconic bay Medical Center Auxillary at Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue. Door prizes, Chinese auction and boutique sales. All proceeds go to the Peconic Bay Medical Center Building Fund. Tickets are $35. Children are $10. Under 5 is free.
