POTATO FESTIVAL- The merchants of Love Lane in Mattituck hope to once again celebrate its harvest. From 11 am until 3 pm, the Love Lane Group of the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the first annual potato festival on Love Lane. ATLANTIS TALK- Check out a talk entitled “Atlantis and Other Mysteries: Myth and Archaeology of the Greek Bronze Age” at 4 p.m. at the Old Point School House in Orient. The talk is by Fredrica Washsberger and is sponsored by the Oysterponds Historical Society. Ms. Washsberger is a former president of the society and is a retired professor of art history specializing in Greek and Roman art.
