The Crow’s Nest Restaurant in Montauk offers a three course Alaskan Crab night every Monday for $21.95. On Sunday enjoy 2-for-1 dinner specials for $28. Menu items include shrimp scampi, seafood fra diavolo, fish of the day; Long Island duck and roasted vegetable lasagna. A daily three-course prix fixe for $22.95 is available all night except Saturday when it will only be offered until 6 p.m. Stay late on Saturday and enjoy disco night from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. with half priced martinis, hot hors d’oeuvres and a late night menu. La Fondita in Amagansett will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 5 from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. They will offer some traditional holiday specials such as pollo en mole rojo (chicken in mole rojo), tamale de puerco (pork tamale), and coctel de mariscos, a mixed seafood cocktail with tomato, jicama onion, chile, cilantro and avocado. La Fondita is now open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Almondito in East Hampton will celebrate Cinco de Mayo all weekend, starting on Friday, May 4 until Sunday, May 6 beginning at 6 p.m. The celebration will feature $5 margaritas and $5 bocaditos (little bites) at the bar all night. The regular menu will be available with some traditional Cinco de Mayo specials in the dining room. For further information call Almondito at (631) 329-6700.

Marking its second season, Harbor Bistro in East Hampton will open on Friday, May 4 at 5 p.m. Under new ownership since mid-2006, the waterfront restaurant is a joint venture for East Hampton natives Patrick and Ann Glennon, their daughter Nicole O’Donnell and her husband Executive Chef Damien O’Donnell. Appetizers range from $8 to $16 and include toasted corn and jumbo lump crab cake in a savory remoulade. Salads range from $8 to $12. Entrées, ranging in price from $14 to $36, include pistachio crusted tilapia with crispy risotto cake and Tahitian vanilla lobster butter; sausage and farfalle di olio with caramelized onions, broccoli rabe, and shaved Parmesan. Desserts range from $6 to $9 and include molten chocolate tower with raspberry sauce and vanilla bean ice cream, warm peach and almond cake with vanilla ice cream, raspberries, and caramel; and profiteroles covered in chocolate sauce. Exquisite Food in East Hampton will offer a new gourmet drop-off service beginning this May. Now people with large families, weekend guests, or those who simply want gourmet comfort food can order it. The menu is varied, requests are welcome, and custom menus are available. Cost varies depending on the items and number of guests. Made-to-order items will be available for delivery on the South Fork until September. There is a delivery surcharge for Southampton and Montauk locations. The Plaza Cafe in Southampton has added some new menu items. New menu items include: Peconic Bay oysters with tomato horseradish granita and wasabi tobiko; Tourchon of Hudson Valley foie gras with walnut raisin bread, rhubarb compote and apple balsamic syrup; Plaza Café’s lobster shepherd’s pie with local lobster, shrimp, wild mushrooms, peas and chive potato crust; and grilled Cooper Ridge prime sirloin steak (cooked to your liking) with Portobello, fingerling potatoes, sautéed spinach in a port wine sauce. Southampton Publick House is once again hosting their annual beer dinner on Thursday, May 10 at 7 p.m. This year’s festivities kick off with a beer-sampling hour until 8 p.m. followed by a four-course dinner paired with specially selected beers.
