A Blooming Mother’s Day

May is upon us, which means it is time to celebrate the one person truly responsible for bringing you into the world – your mother. It’s important to show
her how much you appreciate everything she does for you, and giving flowers is a great way to make her day meaningful and memorable.
On Mother’s Day, it is important to choose flowers that will convey the message “I love you.” When deciding on an arrangement, don’t just go online and order any boring arrangement, put some thought into it. Take a trip to your local flower shop to find an arrangement perfect for your mother. Flower shops are better for choosing arrangements than the Internet. On the Internet, you have to rely on a picture without the option to look around and experiment with different color combinations. Most flower shops deliver in the same amount of time as online flower retailers. In addition to not paying the surcharge, you can ask the florist what flowers last longest.
Before heading to the flower shop, research a few things about your mother. Find out her favorite
colors, flowers and if she has allergies. If she has allergies, perhaps you should opt for a gorgeous bouquet of silk flowers. They can be made from the finest silk and they look completely natural, while saving your mom a few sniffles. When choosing silk flowers, pick a color that matches your mother’s décor. Because they never wilt, they might be around for a long time. If she doesn’t have allergies, fresh, seasonal flowers are always beautiful to look at. Roses are always a popular choice, but also predictable and priced high around Mother’s Day. Lilies are also a popular choice to give on Mother’s Day. White lilies are meaningful since white is the color of peace, love and tranquility. A bouquet of fresh-cut hyacinths offset with red or yellow tulips would also be just enough to brighten anyone’s day. The vibrant colors of the tulips will emphasize the delicate color and beauty of the hyacinths. Orchids are always a hit. There is nothing like the sight of a perfectly formed velvety, magenta orchid. If gardening is one of your mother’s hobbies, consider buying a lovely basket of bulbs that she can replant in her garden and enjoy year after year. Crocuses, irises and tulips are all bulbs that look beautiful when arranged in a basket. For a personal touch, order roses from Roses by Design, which allows you to personalize the petals with your own message. Although bamboo is not a flower, do not forget about it. Bamboo is said to bring luck and is very serene and easy to care for. Who wouldn’t want to bring their mother luck on Mother’s Day?
When choosing how to display the flowers, most shops sell a wide variety of unique and colorful vases. If your mother collects teapots or another type of container, find a new piece for her collection and use it as a vase. It is also a good idea to match the color of the flowers to an accent color in the vase. Mix the sizes of the flowers, making sure to incorporate both large and small blossoms.
This year, surprise your mom with a bouquet of flowers that she will absolutely love. Whether you decide to go with traditional roses or something more unique such as bamboo, choose an arrangement that will touch her heart and prove how much you
appreciate everything that she does.
