East Hampton Village may be replacing TCO’s in their parking lots with cameras that track how long your car is parked, then automatically mails you a parking ticket if you have been parked for too long.
The technology uses a state of the art camera that can read license plate numbers, log the time that you enter the parking lot, and then log the time that you leave the lot. If you’ve been in the parking lot for more than the allowed time for that specific lot, then a ticket will end up in your mailbox a few days later.
What do you think of cameras in East Hampton Village parking lots?
