The Hamptons rental market is red hot this year, and real estate agencies are enjoying the heat. The increase in rentals has largely to do with Wall Street and foreign customers. And of course, the fact that you just can’t find a better place to spend the summer than the Hamptons if you live in New York City.
Prudential Douglas Elliman broker Lori Barbaria was quoted in The New York Post recently, saying, “The rentals came in earlier than they have in almost a decade. There is definitely a sense of recovery. Maybe it’s a false sense, but it is definitely there.”
