Mickey Paraskevas Illustrates New Children's Book

Hamptons artist and cartoonist Mickey Paraskevas, whose work has been gracing the covers of Dan’s Papers for over 23 years, has created the illustrations for a new children’s book, On My Way to the Bath, which is coming out on May 22.

“The book was written by an old friend of mine named Sarah Maizes, who was an agent at the William Morris agency and told me that she had an idea for a book,” says Mickey, who also counts The Green Monkeys among his creations. “She got the book done and I got the illustrations done and we were able to sell it quickly. It’s a very cute book about a little girl named Livi who just refuses to go to the bath. It’s really adorible.”

Publishers Weekly, The School Library Journal and many other publications have given the book rave reviews.

“We worked on it very hard and it really came out great. I’m really happy with it. It takes a long time to put these books together and a lot of collaboration.”
