I Cannot Say How Happy I Am That Doris Quigley Is Home For Christmas
I’m just so happy to hear the news that East Hampton Town lifeguard Doris Quigley, who suffered a broken neck after diving into the ocean and hitting a sandbar, will be home for Christmas.
This poor girl, she has just been through too much having spent months at the hospital recovering. When she first got there, she had barely any body movement.
She is back home on crutches and is still recovering, but her body is moving and her parents are smiling. When her injury occurred, I have to be honest, I thought for sure she would be assigned to a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
The accident took place last summer, and it really hit the East Hampton community pretty hard, especially the local lifeguards, who rallied hugely behind Doris.
Doris, who is the daughter of East Hampton Town Councilwoman Theresa Quigley, will also be back at East Hampton High School full time to enjoy the rest of her senior year.
Thank God she is okay and doing so much better and is out of the hospital. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough tragedies for one year. I’m so happy to see her on her feet, it’s just so great. Thank God. Congrats to Doris. CONGRATS, CONGRATS, CONGRATAS.
