Just because your friend looks great in Jackie-O type glasses doesn’t mean the style will look just as good on you. That’s because factors like hairdo, face shape, coloring and nose size all affect how a particular style will look on your face.
Choose frames that:
contrast with your face shape
are an appropriate size for your face
complement your skin tone
For example, if you have a round face shape, you should look at angular frame styles. If you have a square face, choose rounder shapes.
Don’t wear frames that are too big or too small for your face.
Choose colors that agree with your skin tone and will go with the way you dress—conservative, arty, sporty, edgy, etc. Each designer line has their own style and “look.”
Take your time when selecting frames for your eyeglasses, and go with a friend or partner to help you decide.
