For village residents with expired or unused medications, the Southampton Village Police Department lobby now has a pharmaceutical drop-off thanks to Southampton Hospital.

The pharmaceutical collection receptacle provides a secure and appropriate disposal location, according to the hospital.

“Medications should never be flushed down the toilet because they can make their way into our local waters,” the hospital stated. “Medication that is unused or expired should always be disposed of properly.”

Southampton Village Police Department is located at 151 Windmill Lane.

For information and hours, call the police department at 631-283-0056.
