Peconic Polar Plunge Set for March 1 in Southold

Dozens of East Enders took the plunge into the frigid waters of Founder's Landing in Southold on Saturday to raise money for Maureen's Haven.

The Peconic Polar Plunge challenges you to take a dip in the chilly Southold Bay to benefit the Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach Program.

Maureen’s Haven provides meals and shelter for the homeless every night between November 1 and April 1 at various houses of worship.

Each plunger donates or fundraises for $25 or more for the Saturday, March 1, event.

Meet at the Wharf House at Founders Landing, Hobert Avenue, Southold. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the plunge is at 11 a.m.
