Hot Hamptons Events This Weekend: ‘Conviction,’ Gabriel Iglesias, ‘God of Carnage,’ Yeasayer

This weekend in the Hamptons, take in a variety of musical tastes from Hampton Bays to Montauk. Enjoy jazz music from Eliot Zigmund at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill or one of three DJs performing at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk. Set by Austin Peters at Ruschmeyer’s
This New York-based DJ will be spinning from 11 p.m.–1 a.m. at Ruschmeyer’s at 161 Second House Road in Montauk. Peters is a renowned DJ and music video director who has worked with a variety of popular artists, such as HAIM and Bastille. More info at visitruschmeyers.com

Jazz en Plein Air: Eliot Zigmund
For a quieter music scene, enjoy the first Parrish Art Museum Friday night jazz concert of the season as drummer Eliot Zigmun kicks of the monthly summer series. Enjoy food and beverage from the café while listening to this legendary artist. Eliot Zigmund has performed at countless New York jazz clubs for decades and has played backup for artists like Chet Baker, Bill Evans and Stan Getz. Seating is limited and reserved for café customers, but other guests may bring their own chairs and blankets to listen from the terrace and lawn. The concert is free with museum admission. DJPJ and DJ Julian Cavin at Ruschmeyer’s
Saturday night at Ruschmeyer’s offers up another two hours of DJs from 10 p.m.–midnight featuring sets by DJPJ and Brooklyn-based DJ Julian Cavin. Cavin performed in the Hamptons before, spinning last Saturday night at the new 1Oak Southampton. More info at visitruschmeyers.com

Gabriel Iglesias at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center
The Comedy Central stand-up comedian comes to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center this weekend for a special one-night-only performance. Iglesias is famous for his signature Hawaiian shirt and witty storytelling complete with sound effects. Yeasayer at The Surf Lodge
The Surf Lodge will host American psychedelic pop band, Yeasayer, for a concert from 5 p.m.–9 p.m. Sunday evening. The Brooklyn-based group recently released their third album, Fragrant World.

God of Carnage at Hampton Theatre Company
The Tony Award-winning comedy has three shows this weekend as part of its run until June 8. See the play Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. or the Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for students under 21 and $23 for seniors, excluding Saturday performances. Conviction at Bay Street Theater
The Bay Street Theater Mainstage Season kicks off with the world premiere of a new drama, Conviction. The show will run through June 15.
