Voss Foundation Hosts 2nd Annual Independence Day Weekend Fundraising Dinner
Voss Foundation, a charity based in New York City and Oslo focused on providing potable water in Sub-Saharan Africa, is heading to the Hamptons for the second year in a row for its annual Fourth of July weekend fundraiser.
Vita Sidorkina, Victoria’s Secret Pink model, and actress Sami Gayle will host the event. Music for the evening will include a performance from American Young and after party entertainment by DJ Lee Kalt.
The 2nd annual Independence Day Weekend Fundraising Dinner and Cocktail Party will be held at Georgica Restaurant and Lounge in Wainscott on the evening of Thursday, July 3. The night includes an 8 p.m. cocktail hour and 9 p.m. seated dinner to be followed by an 11 p.m. after party.
The fundraiser will benefit the Voss Foundation’s commitment to providing clean water to areas throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Other aspects of their charity work include a focus on helping to educate women who previously had to fetch water for their communities. Their past work has included bringing potable water to schools and infirmaries, as well as other addressing other specific needs of different villages.
Another key aspect of Voss Foundation’s mission is education on the sanitation and hygiene benefits of having access to clean drinking water. Their website highlights the positive impact clean water has on economy, education, environment, health, hunger and women.
Currently, the Voss Foundation has projects in Swaziland, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mali, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 per person and include access to the cocktail party, three-course dinner and after party as well as a gift bag. Parties of eight or fewer may buy tickets at clickandpledge.com. Any parties of more than eight guests are asked to email [email protected] to reserve seats.
