Shop 'til You Drop: Fall Finds of All Kinds in the Hamptons
Halloween is an especially fun holiday on the East End. With the early settlements here dating back to the mid-1600s, there are all kinds of entrancing old graveyards, stories of witches and tales of strange events—the type that only happen at the time of year when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest. To lighten things up, we also have pet parades, spooky walks and costume contests at various bars and restaurants across the Island.
In the midst of all the candy corn, pumpkin lattés (and brews) and chocolate bars, come Monday morning you may be ready for a pre-holiday cleanse. Luckily, Blueprint Cleanse has got your back. There’s a new fall flavor in their fridge, and it’s not bright orange. Spicy Apple is stealing the spotlight this season. It has all the spice and comforts of fall, but with a kick. So, if you’re craving something crisp and refreshing, order a 6-pack of Spicy Apple. Visit blueprintcleanse.com for details.
Agraria’s signature fragrance, Bitter Orange, is the most desirable way to enhance your home during the winter months. A complex and subtle blend of clove, the zest of bitter orange and a touch of cypress, the Bitter Orange fragrance creates a warm and uplifting background for the holiday season. The fragrance is available in the form of many decorative gifts for the home, including the AirEssence Diffuser, the PetiteEssense Diffuser and the Crystal Cane Candle. All of Agraria’s Bitter Orange products are available for purchase on AgrariaHome.com, as well as at Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and high-end gift shops.
Ooh, I just got some of THE snappiest accessories for my man—hook + ALBERT’s colorful dress socks, a plaid pocket square and elbow patches. Your snappy guy can’t have too many elbow patches—one pair was a black and white print! So cool. hookandalbert.com.
I recently tried some scents from Atkinsons London 1799 Oud Collection. Their “Oud Save The King” stood out as a fave. “Oud Save the Queen” was good too but the King’s “British dandy attitude meets oriental exoticism” had me at “British.” Good stuff! I can’t wait to try their “Boadicea the Victorious,” so I just ordered a gorgeous bottle of it from atkinsons1799.com.
A friend recently gave me a lovely bar of soap from Southampton Soap Co.—a “relaxation blend” sprinkled with bits of lavender. I’ve been enjoying it so much I now want one for every sink and tub in my house. I’m planning on also stocking up on a few favorites to have on hand for small gifts and stocking stuffers throughout the holiday season, so I checked out their website and it turns out that with enough lead time, they can custom manufacture soaps to don your company’s logo on the label. The all natural, 100% vegetable-based artisanal soaps (vegan-friendly) are crafted in small kettle batches, scented with essential oils and adorned with herbs & botanicals.
