Where They Dine: Celebs Eat Out in the Hamptons
Jimmy Fallon stopped in at new Hamptons spot Winston’s on Saturday night before hitting some events on the town with his wife Nancy Juvonen. In honor of Fallon’s visit, owner Winston Lyons created a cocktail of Jamaican Ting soda with vodka, white rum and bitters, calling it the “Jimmy Fallon Ting Cocktail.”
Rihanna had a girls’ night out in the Hamptons Wednesday night. She was spotted with three girlfriends (and a bodyguard nearby) at Almond in Bridgehampton, where they were celebrating one of the girl’s birthdays. As dessert arrived, they serenaded their friend with “Happy Birthday” and the entire restaurant joined in the applause.
The 1770 House in East Hampton recently saw Riverdance’s Bill Whelan and Supertramp’s Rick Davies dine together in their downstairs Tavern with hosts Ben and Bonnie Krupinski. Also in the Tavern recently were Into The Woods director Rob Marshall and producer John DeLuca in a party of six, and the Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten dined there with husband Jeffrey Garten. In the upstairs main dining room, cartoonist Jules Feiffer dined with his wife, author J. Z. Holden.
Celebrity hair stylist to the stars Marc Zowine brunched at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor with a friend last Sunday morning.
All of Sag Harbor turned out at Muse in the Harbor last Friday evening to say “farewell” to marketing guru and former Miss Georgia Sweet Potato Judy Malone. Malone is headed back to Georgia to begin a suitably dignified retirement.
The next day, all of Sag Harbor turned out for two other pivotal events—the big yard sale at Jim and Kate McMullan’s home and studio on John Street (they’re moving back to the city) and this season’s opening of the Sag Harbor Famers Market. Despite the rain, the turnouts for both were good and bargains were found by many artists, foodies and foodie artists.
