ARF’s Awards 'Best Looking Mutt' Title to Charlie
The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons held its second annual Best Looking Mutt Contest leading up to National Mutt Day last Friday, July 31.
The 2015 winner, Charlie, was voted to the top after standing out among the finalists.
Charlie became the special recipient of a DNA kit to help determine the exact mix of breeds that helped him earn his new title. Along with his new kit, Charlie was also given an ARF swag bag.
This year 70 mutts joined the competition. Pet parents who entered were encouraged to share their “mutt pride” by submitting photos of their mixed breed dogs to the ARF adoption center. The deadline for photos was July 26.
ARF staff took the responsibility of selecting the top four finalists. Voting was opened to the public on July 27 and closed July 30. Charlie, one lucky mutt, had his achievement and good looks shared with that same public on National Mutt Day.
