On Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show, Sagaponack’s Jimmy Fallon paid tribute to his friend David Bowie following the music icon’s death on Sunday, January 10. Bowie succumbed to cancer at his home in New York City after an 18-month battle with the disease. He just turned 69.
A longtime fan and excellent impersonator of Bowie, Fallon also showed off the late star’s new record and 28th studio album, Blackstar, which was released on Friday, January 8 and is now skyrocketing on the charts.
“Play it loudly, and just thank him,” Fallon said displaying the album, adding, “Thank you, thank you, thank you, David Bowie. Thank you.”
