Docent Day Trip to Dia: Beacon
Beacon, a massive museum on the banks of the Hudson River, presents Dia’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present, including works by Dan Flavin, John Chamberlain and many others. We will visit and tour the museum, emphasizing recently installed works by Dorothea Rockburne. Rockburne will be in residence during our visit and we will have a chance to see her and get a glimpse of her works in progress.
This one-day excursion includes travel by Hampton Jitney plus admission and a guided tour. The trip is limited to 40 participants and is available only to Parrish docents and their guests through September 4. On September 5 any remaining spots will be offered to Parrish members.
