Songwriting Circle

Tuesdays Beginning October 6

7pm-9pm

Enhance your songwriting craft with weekly classes facilitated by esteemed East End singer/songwriter, Fred Raimondo. A 30-year veteran of the Long Island music scene, Raimondo will teach the art of songcraft as well as the business of songwriting to attendees ages 18+. The program will culminate in a livestreamed performance from WHBPAC Mainstage on November 14th.

SING

Thursdays Beginning October 8

2:30pm-4pm

Ready to take your vocal prowess to the next level? SING your heart out with Arts Academy Director Kristen Poulakis as she teaches proper vocal technique and form. Then take your talents to WHBPAC Mainstage in a performance on November 14th.  Ages 18+

Sitcom Acting on Camera

Fridays Beginning October 9

5pm-7pm

Learn the basics of on-camera acting skills from renowned actress Meghan Rafferty. A trained thespian and casting director, Meghan will teach from classic comedy scripts as participants learn scene transitions, coordination, nonverbal techniques and more.  Ages 18+

Little Players: FROZEN Showcase

Ages 5-7

Beginning Oct 9

The hit movie FROZEN comes to life for WHBPAC Little Players. Sing, dance, and act to your favorite Frozen songs. Directed by Arts Academy Manager Justin Harris, the Little Players will showcase the icy world of Arendelle on stage!

Shrek the Musical Jr.

Grades 2-5, Mondays Beginning Oct 5

AND Grades 6-8, Wednesdays Beginning October 7th

Its a big, bright, beautiful world – and Shrek and his merry band of misfits will learn true acceptance in these weekly musical theatre classes, culminating in a full-scale production. Directed by Arts Academy Manager Justin Harris.

Directed by Arts Academy Director Kristen Poulakis, this is an irreverent and hilarious musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, and social irresponsibility. In a refreshingly modern and touchingly honest portrayal, Urinetown is one man’s brave attempt to rescue his community from the clutches of an evil bathroom dictatorship.

Jam out to your favorite rock music in an ensemble setting. Featuring the music of ACDC, Blink-182, Green Day,  The Cure and more, Teaching Artist Jake Lorefice will teach the basics of rock and roll classics.

Making Music Magic

Ages Infant-3

Wednesdays 10am-10:45am

Beginning Oct 7

A delightfully whimsical music class for baby or toddler, taught by Teaching Artist Anne O’Rourke. Baby and caregiver will learn the musical foundations necessary for growth, development, and a lifetime of musical appreciation .

Emerging Voices

Ages 12-18

Tuesdays 4:30pm-6:30pm

Beginning Oct 6

Learn the art of songwriting and music production with Teaching Artist Delaney Hafener. This behind-the-scenes, hands-on class will teach you the essentials of producing, mixing, and more!
