Artists have been incorporating word play into their art throughout the last century, beginning with early cubist collage and dadaism and on through pop art and conceptual art, continuing into contemporary art today. Whether via found object, social or political commentary, enigmatically, with humor, or as narrative, artists have used text to communicate their ideas and enhance their work in a myriad of ways.

MM Fine Art is pleased to present SUBTEXT, a group exhibition exploring a wide diversity of text based art. The exhibition will open with an indoor/outdoor reception on Saturday, October 24, 6 to 8 PM and will remain on view through November 8, 2020.

Fall Gallery Hours: Monday, 11am – 5pm; Friday & Saturday, 11am – 5 pm; Sunday, 12 pm – 4 pm. (Tuesday – Thursday by appointment or chance
