A Speck in the Sea: Book Talk & Interview

Aldridge and Sosinski, authors of A SPECK IN THE SEA: A Story of Survival and Rescue, will be interviewed by journalist, Debbie Tuma. Located in Suzanne Koch Gosman Room (lower level)

The extraordinary tale of perseverance, A Speck in the Sea: A Story of Survival and Rescue, is the story of John Aldridge’s 12 hour struggle to survive in the water off Montauk Point, while his fishing partner, Anthony Sosinski, plus Montauk’s entire commercial fishing fleet, and the United States Coast Guard came together to find him and bring him home alive. The book describes how Aldridge struggled to stay afloat until Coast Guard rescuers found him 12 hours later, 40 miles off the coast of Long Island in shark infested water.

After the interview, a copy of the book will be available for purchase, courtesy of the Friends of the Montauk Library.
