‘Aerial Observations’ Art Exhibit

Alex Ferrone Exhibit: Aerial Observations Reception: Saturday, June 9, 3-4:30 p.m. A photographer with varying artistic influences including Edward Burtynsky, Marilyn Bridges, Wynn Bullock and Man Ray, Alex Ferrone has developed a unique body of work through aerial photography that she calls Aerial Observations. “I aspire to always see differently and am constantly exploring my environment from diverse angles,” she says. Generally leaving out representational elements within the images leaves the viewer little or no reference to reality, and challenges the viewer’s perception of the mystery within the natural form, shape and line. Born on Long Island and based on the North Fork of New York, Alex Ferrone is a self-educated artist, whose photographs have been widely published in regional, national, and international publications including Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Vanity Fair magazine, Pinhole Journal, The Wall Street Journal, and numerous online magazines. Ferrone has had solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums regionally in New York, Texas, and in Italy. Her works are held in various private collections Elizabeth Platé and Margot Carr chair this show which will be on exhibit from June 2-27.
