Author Talk: Lyle Greenfield
The Soul Mate Expeditions is a collection of stories, letters and reveries—including the mystery novella “What Vienna Saw”—written over a period of 20 years.
The author has lived in Amagansett and New York City for over 40 years. He began his eclectic career as a copywriter and creative director for the ad agencies J. Walter Thompson and Saatchi. In 1980 he planted avineyard in Bridgehampton and built The Bridgehampton Winery—the first winery in the Hamptons. (The winery closed its doors in 1995 and is now home of the South Fork Natural History Museum.)
He is also a somewhat notorious writer of letters to The East Hampton Star and admits to taking unfair advantage of its practice of publishing every signed letter submitted “with the exception of those judged to be proselytizing, an invasion of privacy, libelous, or obscene.”
