Botanical Workshop: Light on Form II with Monica Ray
Study, and render the play of light and shadows on flowers in monochrome, creating the appearance of three-dimensionality on a two-dimensional surface (paper).
Bring: spring flowers of your choice, 3 good quality graphite pencils 2H, HB & 2B, vinyl eraser, kneaded-eraser, sharpener, three colored pencils close in hue, either matching your specimen or random shades of blue, red, or purple. If you like to work on a daffodil, bring some yellows and the greyed lavender Prismacolor Premier® colored pencil. Good quality drawing or sketch paper. Recommended: a portable lamp.
