Equinox: Highlights of the Fall Sky—Talk & Star Viewing

Program Leader: William Francis Taylor, Montauk Observatory

What’s making the days shorter and the nights longer? What’s the astronomical reason for the cool autumn air? We’ll explore the science of the sun and seasons and also discuss the constellations, planets, and other celestial objects that are visible in the fall sky—which we’ll view, weather-permitting, through telescopes after the talk.

This is a free program.

Advanced reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
