In celebration of International Women’s Day Brookhaven Women in Science (BWIS), Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWISE), and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), sponsored by M & C Venture Group, invite you and your family and friends to attend Girl Power in STEM: Each for Equal!

The goal of our symposium is to promote the participation and celebrate the accomplishments of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields. Lecturers and panelists from academia, government and private sectors will discuss with the participants the impact of women in STEM careers and what each of us can do to promote and sustain women’s participation in STEM fields.  Sessions will include professional development talks and discussions for up-and-coming and mid-career professionals in STEM fields, as well as panels and presentations of interest to anyone from the middle school level and up.  There will also be parallel networking sessions during which attendees can participate in either a ‘Speed Networking’ session where audience members will have the opportunity to have many 3-minute one-on-one conversations with speakers and panelists, Speak with a Professional sessions where attendees can meet  professionals in small groups, and science demonstrations where attendees can view several STEM demonstrations led by experts in the field.

We look forward to seeing you on March 7!
