JCOH Welcomes Back Shabbat on the Beach
Once again, we can enjoy the music and camaraderie of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons’ Friday night Shabbat against the backdrop of stunning Main Beach.
For the past few weeks, we have hosted Drive-In Shabbat while embracing social distancing guidelines. Now, as East Hampton Village has entered Phase 3, we are able to move our Shabbat on the Beach evening services back to the beach, while still maintaining proper protocol. Starting this Friday, July 3 at 6:00pm, JCOH will be hosting Shabbat on the Beach at Main Beach every week through Labor Day.
Shabbat on the Beach fuses the experience of spending the summer at the beach with traditional Jewish Shabbat rituals. Find your spot in the sand and join the Jewish Center of the Hamptons community in singing, dancing, and celebrating the joys of a magical Shabbat experience.
All are welcome to attend every Friday of the summer at 6:00pm. This is a joyful service open to everyone who calls the Hamptons their home.
In order to maintain a safe environment for all attendees, and to meet New York State guidelines, please adhere to the following:
- We ask that those joining us please wear a mask.
- Keep your family in one specific area. We have designated areas in the sand for family members.
- Young children who may want to wander should stay the recommended 6 feet apart from other families.
- We are asking participants to download the prayer card to view on your device.
For those of you who are unable to attend Shabbat on the Beach in person, we will be live streaming the event on our Facebook page.
