Meet SOFO’s Shark Research & Education Program Team

Cohosts: SOFO’s Shark Research & Education Program Lead scientist Dr. Tobey Curtis & Field Coordinator Greg Metzger

Working to Unlock the Mysteries of the Long Island White Shark Nursery and Bringing You the News on this Year’s Montauk Expedition: Adults/Children 8+

Our team is back in Montauk to see if they can connect with the elusive young-of-the-year white shark. This event will be held on the third day of the one-week Montauk expedition and is a fantastic opportunity to meet the team and learn directly from them about how this year’s expedition compares to the previous three years. The team will deliver a scientific briefing and leave plenty of time for Q&A. If you are interested in sharks, this program will give you up-to-the-minute local white shark information.

SOFO Members: Programs are free unless otherwise specified. Non-Members: Adults $15, Children $10 (Ages 3-12), Ages 2 & under free. This fee includes admission to the museum, in addition to the program.

Advanced reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
