Online Class – Portrait Drawing Workshop by Gary Long
Have you ever wondered how the artist who draws a portrait at the fair does it? Students will be able to draw a reasonable likeness of themselves or other people using observational skills, taught through the “Seeing Mindfully” drawing method. Using demonstrations and individual instruction, Gary will guide you through this step-by-step process-driven skill. This workshop will be taught using graphite, charcoal or a limited monochromatic acrylic palette. Each student will become familiar with one of the three mediums to practice using the “sight-size” method of drawing. Students will achieve improved drawing skills and more accurate visual acuity by following the “Seeing Mindfully” portrait drawing protocols.
Gary is using this process, drawing may of the staff at PBMC, as a tribute to our Healthcare Heroes. EEA will create a Virtual Wall of Heroes will showcase his works on completion.
