Printmaking For Arts Educators: Printing on and off the Press with Chris Ann Ambery
Art is an exciting way to engage young minds and explore creative problem solving skills. There are many mediums to work with and teachers are often not afforded the opportunity to explore beyond the basics. Printmaking is one medium that is exciting and versatile and can be done both with a printing press and without. This course will introduce you to several printmaking processes, techniques and materials that can be used with any age level. Participants will explore monoprint, relief print and collagraph as well as experiment with various inking techniques. Students will be shown the proper use of tools and materials. As you create beautiful prints that can be used in the classroom, you will learn how to break printmaking skills down for your students in a developmentally appropriate way.
