SOFO: Take Action—Plastics in Our Oceans: Children ages 9+
Program Presenter: Rachel Speckenbach, South Fork Natural History Museum Environmental Educator
As human beings, we have the ability to greatly affect and alter our surrounding environment. One way we negatively do so is by improperly disposing of plastics, much of which ultimately end up in our oceans and other local water bodies. Join Rachel for a lesson on plastic pollution! You’ll learn where marine debris comes from, understand how plastic waste harms aquatic habitats and wildlife, and discover how to keep our waters clean through different interactive activities.
SoFo Members: Programs are free unless otherwise specified. Non-Members: Adults $15, Children $10 (Ages 3-12), Ages 2 & under free. This fee includes admission to the museum, in addition to the program.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: 631-537-9735.
