Sunday at 2: Racing Daylight Poetry Reading with Susan Baran, author and FLPG Board Member. Sag Harbor poet Susan Baran’s new collection, Racing Daylight, celebrates the light and life of eastern Long Island and the sharp, sweet details of her quietly observed, intensely felt life on Widow Gavits Road. Susan will read from her newest book including poems influenced by the Long Pond Greenbelt. Susan Baran was born and raised in New York City and currently lives in Sag Harbor and Manhattan. She is the author of Harmonious Whole and The Necessary Boat. She was the founder and director of the Intuflo Reading Series, and taught science and literature at the Emily Dickinson School. Susan is also on the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt Board. The Long Pond Greenbelt Nature Center is at 1061 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike and is handicap accessible. All Sundays at Two events are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served.
