Terence Netter Vauvy
Opening Reception: Thursday, September 27, 5 p.m.—7 p.m.
“All paintings should take the eye for a walk, and these are meant to take the mind for a walk as well – a walk beyond the horizon to whatever lies beyond.”
Terence Netter’s paintings are both captivating and intriguing with the intent that after viewing the pieces the mind will develop a sublime reality in which both peace and tranquility can be felt. Although the images throughout his work may be varied, it is clear that Netter’s focus has remained his arduous search for truth. There are many levels to this quest. Vision: as a meaning of life and truth, as a new path of self-expression, and as spiritual and emotional wisdom. The surroundings in France, as well as his experience as a Jesuit Priest, inspired him to create paintings that evoke mindful thought and deep contemplation.
Gallery North is pleased to present the culmination of the work of Terence Netter. His powerful, subtle work invites the viewer to enter into his world of perpetual understanding. Allow yourself to be enveloped in the images Netter has created throughout his life.
