Peter Landi from The Glazzies and Chris Jones, the Music To Know organizer, stopped by the Dan’s Papers office on Monday.
Both sat down with Eric Feil of danshamptons.com to talk about their experience in music, as well as the enormous festival, which hits town next weekend at East Hampton Airport.
Jones discussed the cross-trends of English and American entertainment, specifically how music festivals — long thought of as a summer staple in the UK — have soared in popularity over the last half-decade or so. “Observing that trend, and loving music,” Jones explains, “we have, as a company, put together a festvial that borrows from a lot of the things I’ve seen overseas.” That video can be viewed here.
Feil’s interview with Landi, meanwhile (embedded below) covers everything from the story of his unique opportunity to play in the festival to his deepest influences and future plans in music.
