Not Cutting Your Hedges? OFF TO PRISON WITH YOU!!!

In Southampton, they take hedges pretty damn seriously, and yes, a law was just passed in Southampton that says if you don’t trim your hedges once a year and they become unsightly, you either have to pay a $1,000 dollar fine or go to prison for no more than 15 days. It was unanimously approved by the Village board.

Prison. Too much gentlemen?

The law is a big win for Hampton landscapers, and is also a big win for neighbors who hate their neighbors and spend the majority of their time complaining about hedges to the Town of Southampton.

Personally, I think it’s a great law, we should expand it to mowing the lawn. It feels great to trim the hedges!
