East Hampton Town has begun accepting applications for food vendors who wish to park and sell at local beaches this summer. Spots are now open at Ditch Plains, Kirk Park and at the end of West Lake Drive in Montauk, as they have been vacated by last year’s tenants. Gin Beach in Montauk and Maidstone Park in East Hampton are also open—no one placed bids on those spaces last year.

The news of an opening at Ditch Plains had some nervous that the beloved Ditch Witch food truck would not return this summer, but those fears were allayed on Friday. There are three available spots for vendors at the popular Montauk beach, and Ditch Witch will continue to fill one of them.
