Hampton Classic Weekend Attracts A-List Celebrities
The Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton is never short of celebrity visitors and this year was no different. Some of the world’s biggest names in music, film, television, politics, comedy, fashion and more were on hand to socialize, show off their Sunday best and enjoy the show.
Among the recognizable faces, supermodel Christie Brinkley—who looked absolutely radiant in her straw hat and crocheted white sheath dress—took in the scene with gorgeous daughter Sailor Cook. Brinkley’s ex and Sailor’s father Peter Cook was also at the Classic with his wife Susan. The model’s other ex, Piano Man Billy Joel was also on hand, but Brinkley is all class and things never got ugly between any of them.
Today show host, Hamptons regular and local horse farm owner Matt Lauer and his wife Annette were seen chatting with rock legend and fellow Hamptonite Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley, along with music mogul L.A. Reid. East Hampton funnyman Jerry Seinfeld was also spotted under the tent, sitting with John Muse, while Mary-Kate Olson stopped by with boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy.
Hoteliers Rick and Kathy Hilton, Martha Stewart, Beth Ostroski Stern, Sofia Vergara and BF Nick Loeb, and Kyle Mclaughlin with wife and Project Runway EP Desiree Gruber also made appearances.
Perhaps the most striking celebrity guest of all was Georgina Bloomberg, who actually competed in Sunday’s Grand Prix and place third (all while pregnant) as her proud daddy Michael Bloomberg watched. Fellow New York politician Governor Andrew Cuomo was seen at the show earlier in the week. Georgina also attended the Longines ASPCA Day to honor Jill Rappaport at the Classic on Saturday.
Of course no Hamptons event would be complete with Southampton socialite Jean Shafiroff, who showed off several lovely outfits—complete with colorful sunhats—at various events during Hampton Classic week.
Refusing to be outshined by the more famous attendees, our fabulous local business owners, including Sag Harbor restaurateur B. Smith and husband Dan, East Hampton gallerist Vered, Dan’s Papers founder Dan Rattiner and wife Christine, and Hamptons super realtor Enzo Morabito also enjoyed the day.
