Get Amped for Westhampton Beach's Oyster Fest Saturday

Hosted by the Westhampton Kiwanis, the annual Westhampton Beach Oyster Festival is Saturday, October 12, at the Westhampton Beach Marina on Library Avenue.

Food vendors will serve oysters—of course—but also other seafood selections, plus barbecue, hot dogs, ice cream and more. A New England clam chowder contest is also planned.

There will be two stages of live entertainment. Two solo acts and two bands are expected, plus two dance groups and a DJ.

There will be educational activities and a decoy carver, a gill netter and a boat builder will host exhibitions.

Kids entertainment includes a bounce house and games. Face painting and pumpkin painting will be available for a small fee.

Admission is $6 per adult and $2 per child — or $16 for the whole immediate family. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
